My favorite pizza dough recipe. Super straight forward, simple ingredients and freezes incredibly well. It has saved me a massive amount of money and helps prevent dining out or grabbing take out pizza when the day is super busy.

Ingredients
2 cup warm water
4 teaspoon sugar
2 packet active yeast
5 cups of flour
2 tsp salt
2 TBSP olive oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 F / 230 C
In a large bowl combine warm water, sugar and yeast. Whisk and let sit for about 10 minutes so the yeast activates (it will look foamy and aliiiiiive)
Add the flour, salt and olive oil and stir to combine. Dough will be shaggy, which is exactly what you want.
Cover bowl with tea towel and let rise in a warm space for 1 hour
Dust clean workspace with flour and gently pull dough from bowl onto surface.
Knead by hand for about 10 minutes until you form a smooth ball.
Lightly oil the bowl you just used for the dough to rise and place ball of dough inside gently. Cover with towel and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
Drop dough onto workspace and divide into as many pieces as you want. I use a bench scraper for this and form 8 small balls of dough.
Shape each ball of dough into mini pizza. Or, whatever sized pizza you want.
Top with pizza sauce and whatever toppings you feel like.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crust is a beautiful shade of pizza crust.
Eat the pizza.
To freeze dough
Prepare dough, except take each of the balls and place in a zip lock or stasher bag. Label and place in freezer.
When you wake up one morning and think “man I really fancy pizza today” take a bag of dough out and let defrost. Then make as normal.
To prepare pizza to freezer
Preheat the oven to 450 F / 232 C
Prepare dough for crust
Shape into pizza shapes
Place each mini pizza on parchment paper
Parbake dough (this means partially baking the dough for rapid freezing)
Place one pizza at a time in oven for 6-7 minutes.
Remove, and allow to cool completely.
When totally cool, top normally with pizza sauce, cheese. whatever.
Lay pizzas uncovered on a cookie sheet and place in freezer to totally freeze.
Remove each pizza when it’s frozen and wrap individually. I like to wrap mine in seran wrap to prevent any freezer burn, and then foil for an extra layer of protection.
Label with a sharpie and place into freezer for storage.
When you’re ready to eat it, remove foil and seran wrap and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 450 F in the middle rack for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is beautiful.
