Rhubarb is one of my favourite Spring treats and I love creating recipes to use up my bountiful harvests. Some of our favourite recipes include Grandma’s Rhubarb Fluff (with Jello) and this great tomato free Rhubarb Barbecue Sauce which is amazing on grilled chicken and pork chops. Strawberry Rhubarb Greek Yogurt Cake Do you love a moist bundt bursting with loads of flavour? This cake has it all; a tender, moist crumb without being too heavy or dense and a tangy-sweet flavour that makes you crave another slice. Applesauce Cakes WholeGrain WholeSpeltFlour WholeWheatFlour

2020-05-04

This healthy carrot cake recipe is incredibly moist and nobody will believe it’s whole wheat! Recipe includes a less sugary cream cheese frosting. Can also be made with all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour. Please note that although the video says Gluten-free Carrot Cake – this video is also how this healthy carrot cake is made! It just uses a different flour. I accidentally republished my whole wheat rolls recipe last week and it went out to my email subscribers. Sorry about that! I don’t normally post recipes without gluten-free options. All I wanted to do was update the photos. Today’s...

There are so many things I might have posted on this Easter Sunday. Hot cross buns, which I’ve been wanting to make (and make well—my last batch was a total fail) for a while. Pie. A brunch dish, like French toast. Chocolate eggs. Any number of different cakes. But all I’ve been able to think about is carrot cake. Maybe not surprising, since carrot cake is my favorite cake. And...

The inspiration for this Vegan Honey Bundt Cake came from a conversation I had with my friend, the best-selling vegan writer, Nava Atlas

We were discussing honey cake for the Jewish holidays. I found her recipe and was not surprised that it looked very good. Honey Cake The fact is, every honey cake-eating family has their own special one. Nava’s cake is a more traditional, somewhat denser loaf cake, and filled with raisins and nuts. My family’s honey cake of memory was a fluffier, fruit and nut-free cake that was baked in a bundt pan. What both have in common, aside from being good tasting cakes, is both that Nava and I replace bee honey with other sweeteners that mimic it, making the...
